If this trailer is anything to go by, Aussie filmmaker Baz Luhrmann has done it again with his latest movie, ‘Elvis’.
Remember when Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson contracted COVID-19 when they were in Australia a couple years ago? This is what he was here filming. Yep, ‘Elvis’ was shot here.
The film traces the life and music of rock icon Elvis Presley, played by Austin Butler, through his complicated relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, played by Tom Hanks, who is unrecognisable.
The story spans a 20-year period from Presley’s rise to fame and unprecedented stardom. And yes, that’s Butler singing for real.
