The spirit of Christmas is well and truly in the air and it’s found itself a new home on Canberra’s Southside.
A brand new immersive walkthrough experience, located at the South.Point (Hyperdome) shopping centre in Tuggeranong, is set to take visitors from the city’s South direct to the North Pole.
Filled with plenty of snow, trees and lights as far as the eye can see, the aptly titled ‘North Pole Lane’ offers visitors the chance to stop by Santa’s house, check out some of his friends at work and meet the many magical creatures that also call the North Pole home.

The pop-up village is the vision of Ministry of Events founder Mindy Dominick, a Murrumbateman resident who’s dreamt of providing an immersive Christmas experience for kids across Canberra for almost a decade.
“Way back then I would have loved something like this for my children but there was just nothing in Australia like this.”
“I just want to create a space where children feel like they’re going to the North Pole at Christmas.”
However, Dominick promises adults coming through will also have just as much fun.
“Once you’re here, it brings out your childlike side because it’s like a walk down memory lane.”
Exploring North Pole Lane takes between 30 to 60 minutes with ticketed session times available from 1 November.
