ACT Police say they’re still dealing with daily protest activity as anti-vaccine mandate demonstrators continue to hang around the capital, almost a month after arriving in significant numbers.
The group, which had about 10,000 people in attendance at the height of their demonstrations last month, has declined in size since being kicked out of their camping location at EPIC.
As of Wednesday, ACT Police estimated about 500 demonstrators remains in the Territory and the surrounding region.
However, it’s expected daily demonstrations will continue to play out in the Nation’s Capital, with larger scale protests on weekends, in the lead up to the Federal Budget on March 29.
