A 49-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder, following the death of another man in Kambah.
Police say the 68-year-old victim first became known to them after reports of a disturbance at a home in the early hours of Saturday.
Detective Acting Superintendent Callum Hughes said officers located the man, who’d suffered head injuries, at the property before he was taken to hospital for treatment.
“The man gave an explanation for the cause of his injuries which did not disclose an offence.”
The victim then checked himself out of the hospital on Saturday afternoon before being seen by neighbours at his home later that afternoon.
The next morning, Police received reports the man had become unable to be contacted.
“Upon attending the residence, officers located him deceased inside.”
An investigation into the man’s death was launched with an arrest of the 49-year-old accused late on Sunday evening.
The alleged murderer will make his first appearance in court on Monday morning.
Police are continuing their investigation into what happened and are appealing to witnesses and those with information to come forward by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
